Here are some answers to FAQ:

Q: What do I need to bring?
A: A notebook and a pen. That’s all. We’ll have extra pens and paper, so if you decide to come last minute, we got you covered.

Q: What will it be like? We’ll be in a beautiful gallery with tables and chairs.
A: There will be an introduction with all the information you need to feel at home. Then we’ll write together three or four times in response to a prompt and have time for voluntary sharing of writing or thoughts on the experience or appreciation of others’ writing. There will be laughter, the joyful kind. It always happens. Then we’ll close with an opportunity to see what we discovered. Two hours seems like a long time, but it will fly by.

Q: What’s the point?
A: We engage in a real time creative process together which always delights and surprises. Writing the Native South way (details to be discovered by you) allows you to see the value of your own voice and your once-ever view of life. Get a bunch of folks to do that together and you’ve got yourself an unforgettable experience.

Q: Do I need to be good at writing?
A: No! It’s not even a question we’d think to ask. We will not give “feedback” about improving anything. We will have time to express appreciation for whatever we find beautiful, inspiring, amazing, etc. No one will be put on the spot in any way.

Everyone can do this workshop and enjoy it! Please come give us a try. You just might become a regular. Our format and purpose will remain the same, but the content will be different every time.
