art 4 all

Art for All partnerships utilize tools and strategies that build bridges to audiences of all backgrounds while inspiring their creative confidence.

The Education Department engages artists and instructors for Art for All whose experience and teaching philosophies support the ability to uniquely connect with the audiences they serve.

For over 15 years, Art for All has fostered art exposure, creative outlets, and a unique set of educational opportunities for at least 4,000 participants from our community partners. By using the visual arts to develop participants’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, the Art for All program unlocks new ways of seeing the world. HMA also contributes art projects and supplies for the Backpack Program of Catawba County during the school year, reaching roughly 1,000 students. Even against the backdrop of the COVID-19 crisis, the current fiscal year has been marked by many successes as Art for All’s impact continues to evolve and grow, and community partners are requesting virtual instruction.

With this focused outreach, HMA provides access to the transformative power of museum learning for learners of all ages and backgrounds, becoming a gateway for continued community engagement.
