Join us at HMA for a Lynda Barry-inspired Journaling Workshop! Karla Starnes will guide this workshop as we learn to create a visual journal. Upon arrival, you will receive a hardcover journal to begin your story in. This event is for anyone and everyone to come and get creative with us.
Lynda Barry is a well-known author, artist, and MacArthur Genius Grant recipient who now serves as an Associate Professor of Interdisciplinary Creativity at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Barry is the Visiting Writer for Lenoir-Rhyne (LR), this year (this year being the 35th year of their Visiting Writer Series). One of Barry’s books will be used as LR’s First-Year Student’s read this year.
