Participants will create a pair of earrings using longleaf pine needles, artificial sinew, and a sewing needle. All materials are provided. Beckee Garris, a citizen of the Catawba Indian Nation, is an artist specializing in traditional Catawba pottery, reed baskets, jewelry, and miniature pine needle baskets.
