Matthew S. Good, Self-Portrait

Matthew S. Good is a Hickory, North Carolina painter who has studied with Ben Long IV in both Asheville and Italy in the master-apprentice tradition, learning master techniques in drawing, oil, and fresco. In conjunction with Ben Venom & Ping’s Studio, Good shares his mash-up of contemporary subjects in his portrait style that looks straight out of the 17th century.
