Meet Matthew S. Good in the gallery as he shares about his work and the traditional methodologies he utilizes. Matthew is a classically trained artist who creates pigments from foraged materials and produces his own oil paints using age-old techniques.
Matthew S. Good is a Hickory, North Carolina painter who has studied with Ben Long IV in both Asheville and Italy in the master apprentice tradition, learning master techniques in drawing, oil, and fresco. In conjunction with Ben Venom: Bang Your Head & Ping’s Studio, Good shares his mash-up of contemporary subjects in his portrait style that looks straight out of the 17th century.
