TEEN BOOK ARTS | AGES 12-18
Monday-Friday, August 6-10, 2018
3:00 PM 5:00 PM
$60 Members | $95 Non-Members
During this fun class, we’ll learn how to create several shaped, non-traditional books, such as the secret room book, accordion books, and a spiral book. We will also learn simple paper decorating techniques, including paste papers, as well as several pocket folds, which can be integrated into the book structures. The finished treasures can be used for recording journal entries, poetry, travel journals, reception registers and more, or you may simply enjoy the folds and colors as sculptures. Instructor: Sigrid Hice

SCHOLARSHIP MONEY AVAILABLE FOR CLASSES
Thanks to the LB Lane Family Foundation and Kulynych Family Foundation, HMA has scholarships available for adults and children who normally can't afford to take classes. One student recipient stated, "The reason I want to attend the Facial Facades camp is because it would help me to achieve my future dream of becoming a beautician. I will get the start I need to begin my path into the world of beauty. One day, I may be able to help people who cannot afford expensive makeovers. I also hope this would be the beginning of some new friendships."
