In an opportunity for them all to be together to celebrate the life of Harry Baker Wilfong (1932-2017), almost one hundred of his family and friends, including those who contributed to the museum’s Harry Wilfong Memorial Fund, gathered at a reception at HMA on March 16th.
The occasion was also the unveiling of the painting After the Storm that Harry’s wife Joann had commissioned from local artist Steve Brooks in Harry’s honor, a work that HMA had then purchased as its first acquisition in 2019.
The floral tableau next to the painting above was created by Leroy Kennedy of Thistle Dew Nicely.
