Wrap up summer vacation and the start of a new school year at HMA’s Summer BlowOUT! We’ll have everything from bouncy houses, balloon art, and face painting to healthy snacks and food trucks! The rest of the SALT Block will be filled with fun activities from the SALT Block Foundation, Catawba Science Center, Western Piedmont Symphony, and the Library! 

• BlowUp Inflatable Contemporary Art Exhibit Guided Tours with Ginny & Jon (10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM)

• Art Activities with HMA & Autistic Education Foundation

• Face Painting

• Balloon Art

• Petting Zoo from Living The Dream Farm, Ltd.

• 4 Bouncy Houses from It’s My Party

• Fire Truck from Hickory City Fire Department (10AM – 12pm)

• Live Music with Joe Justice of WindSongs Story (12-2PM)
Original meditative music created by Joe Justice and inspired by the famous Vollis Simpson Whirligigs. As a woodcarver, guitarist, storyteller and longtime friend and renovator of the Whirligigs this fascinating backstory from Joe will leave you feeling inspired, overjoyed and serene. A treasured piece of timeless music with a beautiful endless story for all ages. These musical arrangements are a tribute to the folk artist life and his work.
