The term "Printmaking" refers to several distinct processes for creating multiples of a single art work. Intaglio comes from the Italian word to carve, incise or cut-in, which creates the image from ink located in the recessed areas, while the raised surface is wiped clean.
Thomas Thielemann returns to HMA Printmaking Studio! Damon Hood joins him as co-instructor for their 6-week workshop: Multi-Media Approach to Printmaking with an Emphasis on Intaglio. New students will learn quickly as Thomas and Damon demonstrate their processes for innovative and exciting printmaking. Those with more experience will pick up new skills as they continue to develop their bodies of work.
